Artist Statement
Sculpting is my language and bronzes the alphabets to my storytelling.
I indulge in humans and believe we live in shades of grey and perplexed situations. I like to interact with people and want to understand people I meet and those I have never met and those I will never meet. To me people are vessels full of life and I beg from them a drop of life to create my figures. Their thoughts, their aspirations, their beliefs and their strengths give expression to my work and flow in form of metal in the barren moulds of my sculptures. I take it on as my responsibility to give them back as much happiness I can. I forcefully believe miracles should be given a chance to breathe or else they will not exist. My works teach me to be true to myself. They give me energy to experiment and strength to put my concepts forward. My art is like a glass always half full with thirst growing on me with every work.
I believe as Ghalib said :
“What did i have at my home that your sorrow could wreck?
All I had was a desire to create, and that is still there.”
